Packers 14, Steelers 0: The Packers drove 50 yards on their first drive and scored from 1 yard out to a take a 6-0 lead. In the second half, the Steelers caused a fumble and recovered it on their own goal line. But the Packer defense forced a safety that extended the Packer lead to 8-0. After the ensuing punt the Packer offense marched 60 yards on their way to a second touchdown and a 14-0 lead. Defensive standouts for the Steelers were: Tai Phan (interception), Julian Chavira (sack), Zack Scribner (sack), Simran Bhatia and Grant Riddiough.
Saints 34, Giants 22: For the improved Giants, Daniel Crisp was pressed into duty at quarterback and completed 7 of 16 passes for 123 yards and a touchdown. Crisp also picked up 53 yards on the ground and scored one rushing touchdown. Saints running back Bryce Disbrow rushed for five touchdowns. Linebacker, Garrett West, had seven tackles and contributed on special teams. Magnum Miller, Harold Geer and Parker Hall were also involved in numerous plays on defense. Hall also reeled in a 65-yard touchdown pass from Daniel Crisp.
Broncos 26, Falcons 0: The Broncos scored two touchdowns in the first half and took a 14-0 lead. The entire Bronco defense contributed to the win. The offense rushed for more than 100 yards.
Ravens 18, Colts 6: The
Vikings 24, 49ers 19: The 49ers fell behind 12-0 early but closed the deficit to 12-6 after a great kickoff return by Andrew Waller. The defense helped to keep the game close by creating several key turnovers. The first was a fumble caused by Gabriel Rangel and recovered by Jacob Hager. Another fumble recovery by Todd Beatty was quickly cashed in by Nick Hill and the 49er offense, which tied the game at 12-12. The offensive line set up the touchdown run by Nick Hill and two touchdown runs by Shane Waechtler. Dylan Clinton, Joe Montano, and Noah Thompson, had key blocks during the game. For the Vikings, John Joiner scored three rushing touchdowns, including two runs over 40 yards and one 30-yard scamper. Dyan Krauss added a 45-yard touchdown run.
Texans 20, Raiders 13: In the first quarter, Zach Gooby gave the Texans an edge with his opening kickoff return for a touchdown. The Raiders answered back with a touchdown, but the Texans were able to stop the extra point. Matthew Polasky and Jason Sanders were in on the tackle to make the stop. Brandon Norton and Mason Newbould were key in disrupting the Raiders offense. In the second quarter, the Texans' Miles Rasmussen had the bulk of the carries and capped the drive off with a 4-yard touchdown run. Key blocks were made by offensive linemen Jake Herweg, Mitchell Mau, Tyler Blue, and Yash Hammond. Joseph Bartoni ran in the extra point.
BUSC U19 Select Division 3
BUSC Select 1, Oakland Leopards 0: Alex Codik took a corner in the 33rd minute and placed it far post. Center back Wes Rager, up in the attack, drove it home for a 1-0 lead. Oakland had a free kick late in the half, but Dustin Lacy stepped into the lane to clear it away. A corner kick in the 83rd was blocked by Drake Foote to keep the clean sheet. Foote and Rager led the defense, along with backs Grant Petrie and Kevin Faggiano.
Earthquakes 4, BUSC Select 3: The Select trailed 4-0 at halftime, but got on the board in the first 34 seconds of the second half when striker Chris Ford, laid off a pass to an onrushing Garrett Leone, who scored. In the 58th minute. Petrie made a strong throw-in down the right, Ford took it in stride and drilled a low strike far post. In the 66th minute, Codik took a ball in space and crossed to the box, where Ford redirected it for the third goal.
Ballistic Premier '99 1, Mustang Lokomotiv 0: The Ballistic United Premier 99 defeated the Mustang Lokomotive in NorCal Premier League (NPL) action in Danville.
In the 25th minute, Pleasanton keeper Blake Staniford saved four point blank shots. Mustang started the crazy sequence by chipping the behind the Ballistic defense for their striker who got a one-on-one with Staniford. Staniford saved his first shot from 12-yards, then saved three more in quick succession as he was unable to secure the ball.
In the 60th minute, center back Jimmy Thompson sent a ball over the Mustang defense that Blake Tucker raced to and dribbled into the Lokomotiv box. Tucker then beat the keeper with a precise shot for a 1-0 lead.
Top offensive players for the Premier were Blake Tucker and Youki Chiba. Defensively, Blake Staniford and Jared Wilson were top players.
Girls U16 Division 4
Impact 3, Shockers 1: In the first half, the Shockers Kyra Kolak's shot was deflected off the goalie before center forward Haley Isaacs converted the rebound for the first goal of the game. Goalie Maddie Hobbs and defensive back Raven MaierBell played strong defense and made multiple stops. For the Impact, forward Aubrey Quinton made a tough angled shot and tied the game, 1-1. In the second half, Lucy Proudfoot converted on a penalty kick to give the Impact their first lead of the game. Cheyenne Harper followed with a crossing shot in front of the goal and Megan Ferguson punched in the deflection.
Girls U12 Division 1
Rage White '00 1, Piedmont Highlanders 1: During the first half, outstanding blocking efforts were made by Rage defenders Regan Mah and Julianna Pereira to prevent Piedmont from converting multiple set plays, including six corner kicks. Emma Monsen contributed strong throw-ins, and Zoe Moura held down the back line with strong blocking and tackling. Goalie Cierra Lofthouse-Wolf was outstanding in the box. Piedmont got on the board with a goal in the 36th minute. In a true team effort, four Rage girls assisted in the 51st minute game-tying goal. Isabella Clark, Hunter Faria and Katie Murphy each passed the ball in the box before Lofthouse-Wolf scored with two minutes remaining.
Rage White '00 0, Stockton Pacific Strikers 0: Rage White traveled to Stockton to play its second NorCal Premier State Cup Seeding Round game. For the first 25 minutes, Rage defenders disrupted multiple attacks by a powerful Striker team, until Katie Murphy took the first Rage shot of the game. A few minutes later, Emily Esparza almost found the back of the net. Devyn Baldus, Esparza and defender Monsen each fired shots on goal during the second half.
Girls U12 Division 4
Bend-Its 6, Blasters 4: The Blasters demonstrated superb offensive teamwork and passing, as they scored four times but came up just short.
Girls U9 Division 1
Rage Orange 1, Mustang Pride 1: The U9 Pleasanton Rage Orange opened Norcal league play and State Cup play in fine fashion. After a scoreless first half, the Mustang Pride scored a long goal to take the lead. The Rage Orange battled back but was unable to convert, until Ashley Belshe set up Maddie Benson with a beautiful pass. Benson took it down the sideline and crossed to Caitlin Currie. Currie's shot was deflected by the goalie, but Leila Lyions put the rebound into the net seconds before the final whistle.
Rage Orange 9, Bay Oak Blues 0: The Rage Orange offense was unstoppable as it jumped out to a huge lead with two goals apiece from Isabella Guerrero, Olivia Martin, Maddie Benson and Olivia Soble. Hayden Jolley also contributed a goal from 15-yards out. Avery Clark was a constant threat all game and had many up field rushes. Goalies Ashley Belshe and Caitlin Currie kept Bay Oaks out of the net to give the Rage Orange a shutout.
