Monday, oct. 29

  • 12:42 p.m. -- Sunnyside Avenue. Police recovered a 2009 Acura Legend reported stolen in Oakland.

  • 2:05 p.m. -- Nace Avenue. A man told police that someone rifled through his vehicle. The incident occurred sometime Sunday night or early Monday morning.

  • 4:58 p.m. -- Cambridge Way. A woman reported that her purse was stolen from her unlocked vehicle.

    Tuesday, oct. 30

  • 12:42 a.m. -- El Cerrito Avenue. Pumpkins were reported stolen from outside a residence.

  • 1:32 a.m. -- Estates Drive. A woman told police that someone attempted to break into her garage.

  • 3:01 p.m. -- Palm Drive. A woman asked police to step up patrols in the neighborhood after someone stole Halloween decorations -- a mummy and scarecrow -- from outside her residence. The same victim also said someone rifled through her unlocked vehicle a few days earlier, police said.

  • 10:23 p.m. -- Blair & Bonita avenues. Four pumpkins were reported stolen from off a front porch.

  • 10:25 p.m. -- Mountain Avenue. A woman said someone stole Halloween decorations from outside her residence sometime Monday night or early Tuesday morning. Her neighbor's pumpkin was also stolen, the woman told police.

  • 10:28 p.m. -- York Drive. Halloween decorations were reported stolen. The theft occurred sometime after 5:15 p.m. Monday, the victim said.

    Wednesday, oct. 31

  • 12:13 p.m. -- Palm Drive. A caller reported that she returned home and discovered a rear window smashed and that someone had burglarized her home. According to police, a witness spotted two men about 9:30 a.m. acting suspiciously outside the residence, including one who was carrying a bag. One was heavyset with a pony tail and wearing a blue sweatshirt with a white pattern. Details about the second suspect were not available. The men fled the neighborhood in a four-door late-1980s Buick.

  • 12:15 p.m. -- Alta Avenue. A woman told police she learned she was an identity theft victim when her bank contacted her, saying someone was using her Social Security number.

  • 3:55 p.m. -- Magnolia Avenue. The theft of an iPhone from the girl's locker room at Piedmont High School was reported.

  • 10:28 p.m. -- Grand Avenue. People traveling in possibly a dark blue Toyota Sienna threw eggs at a parked vehicle and at several people standing inside a nearby garage, hitting some of them, police said.

    Thursday, Nov. 1

  • 8:02 a.m. -- King Avenue. A man told police that someone egged his house between 10 p.m. Wednesday and midnight, breaking a bedroom window.

  • 9:40 a.m. -- Crocker Avenue. A resident told police that two watches and an iPad are missing from his home. He identified possible suspects.

  • 11:14 a.m. -- Hampton & Glen Alpine roads. A noninjury traffic accident was reported.

  • 5:09 p.m. -- El Cerrito Avenue. A hit-and-run traffic accident was reported.

  • 9:51 p.m. -- Greenbank Avenue. A woman told police that someone rifled through her vehicle and stole the stereo from inside. The theft occurred Wednesday night or early Thursday morning.

    Friday, nov. 2

  • 3:41 p.m. -- San Carlos Avenue. Police are investigating a report that a man sitting in a parked vehicle took photographs of a group of juvenile girls as they walked past him. The man sped off when one girl confronted him.

    Saturday, Nov. 3

  • 4:31 a.m. -- Greenbank Avenue. A caller told police that he interrupted a man breaking into his vehicle. The suspect, who was wearing a red baseball cap and red sweatshirt, was last seen running toward Grand Avenue. No items were stolen from the vehicle.

  • 6:47 a.m. -- Rose Avenue. A white Ford van was reported stolen. The theft occurred between 9:30 p.m. Friday and 6:45 a.m. Saturday, police said.

    Sunday, nov. 4

  • 7:55 a.m. -- Monte Vista Avenue. Police recovered a vehicle reported stolen in Oakland.
