SAN LEANDRO -- A duplex and a vehicle were shot up Thursday night but no one was injured in the drive-by shooting, police said.

Police continued to investigate the incident late Friday but did not have a motive in the shooting. No arrests had been made.

At 9:42 p.m. Thursday, police were called to the 15200 block of Upton Avenue in San Leandro after several 911 calls from people reporting the sound of gunshots.

Police said the suspect or suspects drove away from the scene, but no one got a description of the car.

Police found multiple shell casings in the street. A duplex, where people were inside, and an empty car were struck multiple times by gunfire, police said.

No one was injured.
