Tuesday, Aug. 20 12:25 p.m. -- Harvard Road. A man is suspected of stealing a case of jewelry from a home and then fleeing in a white minivan. 1:49 p.m. -- Grand Avenue. Someone stole a silver Honda Civic.
Wednesday, Aug. 21 8:48 a.m. -- Hillside Avenue. A witness left the license plate of a suspected vehicle involved in a hit and run incident that damaged a city vehicle. 8:57 a.m. -- Sandingham Drive. Identity theft was reported
Thursday, Aug. 22 5:17 a.m. -- Calvert Court. A resident reported hearing a crash and discovering a vehicle in the front yard with the air bags deployed. 7:14 a.m. -- Palm Drive/Wildwood Avenue. Someone reported that there was an "aggressive solicitor" in the area.
Friday, Aug. 23 1:42 a.m. -- Jerome Avenue. Two teens on skateboards were reportedly looking into cars using flashlights.
Saturday, Aug. 24 7:07 p.m. -- Linda Avenue. A man was reportedly checking out car door handles.
Sunday, Aug. 25 1:59 p.m. -- Florada Avenue/Mandana Boulevard. A motorist was driving recklessly in a vehicle occupied by teens suspected of smoking marijuana and reportedly almost struck another vehicle. 11:18 p.m. -- Grand Avenue. Someone stole a bike that was locked to a tree.
Oakland crime statistics were unavailable for the week due to technical difficulties at the Police Department.
