Classic car exhibition to raise funds for youth
The Altamont Cruisers are taking to the streets for their 24th annual Nostalgia Day Car Show fundraiser.
The Sunday event is free and open to the public. It will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and include a display of restored classic cars in the downtown area. There will be vendors with car products, rock 'n' roll music, prize drawings and arts and crafts.
Funds are raised through car show registration fees, sponsor donations and the sale of drawing tickets. Over its life, the Altamont Cruisers club has given more than $350,000 to local charitable groups, with special attention to Tri-Valley anti-drug programs for youth. For details, visit www.altamontcruisers.org or call 925-461-2020.
