Cat-Oberfest is under way at FAAS with $5 adoptions for all adult cats and $50 adoptions for all kittens. We are full of well socialized felines who would like their forever homes. All cats and kittens are spayed or neutered before adoption and have been microchipped, health-screened, vaccinated and are ready to go! As part of our Cat-Oberfest, we'd like adopters to bring in a bag of dry cat food for the FAAS Pet Food Pantry.
Here are a few of the wonderful cats at FAAS waiting for their forever homes: STELLA is a stunning Russian blue with magnificent eyes that will mesmerize you. She's about 1½ years old and has a very sweet loving personality. HORUS is a handsome cream color flame-point Siamese, about 8 years old, with a remarkable face and beautiful blue eyes. THELMA and LOUISE are quite the pair! They are a bonded female pair, about 3 years old and are brown tabbies. Thelma has a bit of Maine coon in her too. KEETCHOON and BABY are also a bonded pair (mother and daughter) of absolutely beautiful tortishell cats. Keetchoon is about 7 years old, and her daughter is 5 years old.
If you have an old vehicle (car, boat, truck, etc.) that you've been wondering what to do with, consider donating it to FAAS. Even if it's no longer operable or registered, your vehicle will be taken away and sold. All proceeds benefit the animals at the shelter. Contact Donate For Charity at 866-392-4483 for more information or to make arrangements to have your vehicle picked up. They handle all the paperwork and make it easy for you to donate! Please mention that you want FAAS to receive the proceeds from the sale of your vehicle.
Pet Of The Week: Scout, a 3-year-old Chihuahua/spitz mix, is an easygoing dog that loves to sit in your lap and be with people. A great walker who is moderately active, he would do best in a home with children older than 10.
DOG ALLEY: There are 23 dogs available at the Alameda Animal Shelter. SUNNY is a yellow Labrador mix, about 1 year old, that lives up to her name. STEVIE is a 3-year-old gray Maltese poodle mix that is the perfect little lap dog.
CAT LAIR: There are 37 felines available at the Alameda Animal Shelter. MICHAEL is a shy lovable gray tabby, about 5 years old. DUNCAN is a handsome 7-month old solid smoky gray cat.
RABBIT ROW: MARTIN, a neutered agouti; SPECKLES, a neutered English spot; and BUN BUNS, a brown/white lop mini rex are all in foster care, and ADAM is a white hot-tot here at the shelter.
