LIVERMORE -- Open Heart Kitchen, the TriValley's only hot meal program, is seeking board members for a two-year term.
The program is seeking applicants who support its mission to feed the hungry and who can lend their time and talent to the board's work.
Open Heart Kitchen provides meals each weekday. It's an interfaith effort and serves more than 260,000 meals a year -- which can be eaten at the Kitchen's five sites in Livermore, Pleasanton and Dublin, or be taken to go. Everyone is welcome.
The program works in cooperation with the Alameda County Community Food Bank, more than a dozen local food pantries, and various Tri-Valley non-profits who that promote good nutrition and hunger relief.
The Kitchen also provides meals to low-income Tri-Valley seniors at the Ridgeview Commons Senior Center in Pleasanton. Applications are available at www.openheartkitchen.org and ,and may be emailed to email@example.com or call
