BUSC Soccer

Boys U18/19

Division 3

Mustang Revolution 2, BUSC Select 1: In a tale of two halves, the Select had its four-game unbeaten streak snapped with a loss to the Mustang Revolution. The Select came out flat in the first half and the Revolution brought heavy pressure which resulted numerous corner kicks. Late in the first half a defensive breakdown in front of the net left the Revolution with an easy goal. The Select came out energized in the second half, fending off a fierce attack and building several of its own. A fluke goal gave the Revolution a 2-0 lead, but the Select responded with a goal of its own. Ogb Kanu fired a deep shot that was blocked but not corralled, and Grant Petrie finished it off for the first Select goal. The Select (9-8-2, 2-3-2 NorCal) will play its final game at home against Turlock.
