A 22-year-old man wanted on a misdemeanor warrant for failing to make a court date was arrested in the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue when Alameda police conducted a warrant sweep Jan. 14.

Four other individuals, also wanted on misdemeanor warrants, were also arrested .

A man, 27 arrested in the 400 block of Buena Vista Avenue was wanted on two warrants, police said.

A 19-year-old woman was arrested in the 300 block of West Midway Avenue and a woman, 37, was arrested as part of the sweep in the 200 block of Corpus Christi Road.

Another woman, also 37, was taken into custody in the 1800 block of Chapin Street.

MONDAY, JAN. 13

  • DRUNKEN DRIVING -- Police arrested a 29-year-old man just before 5 a.m. on suspicion of driving after leading an officer on a vehicle pursuit following a traffic stop for a tail light violation. The man, who refused to carry out field sobriety tests when he was detained in the 700 block of Central Avenue, was carrying a glass methamphetamine pipe, police said.

  • VEHICLE THEFT -- A vehicle was reported stolen about 7:30 a.m. in the 700 block of Central Avenue. A vehicle was also reported stolen about 12:40 p.m. in the 2200 block of Alameda South Shore.

  • DRUNKEN DRIVING -- Police arrested a man, 32, on suspicion of drunken driving following a traffic stop about 2:50 a.m. at Broadway and Lincoln Avenue.

  • VEHICLE THEFT -- A vehicle was reported stolen about 8:15 a.m. at Mecartney Road and Island Drive.

  • IDENTITY THEFT -- A resident of the 1100 block of Sherman Street told police about 2:20 p.m. that someone used their personal information to purchase items at Kohl's. Identity theft was also reported Tuesday in the 3000 block of Lincoln Avenue and in the 500 block of Buena Vista Avenue.

  • CARJACKING -- A man was carjacked at 10:05 p.m. at West Midway Avenue and Orion Street, police said. The victim told police that he had pulled over and gotten out to check on a mechanical problem when three suspects approached him from behind, forced him to the ground and threatened to shoot him. The robbers then fled with the vehicle.

    WEDNESDAY, JAN. 15

  • CONCEALED WEAPON -- A man, 53, was arrested following a traffic stop after a background check revealed that he was wanted on an outstanding warrant, police said. His 32-year-old passenger was also taken into custody after an officer allegedly discovered that he was carrying a knife in his shoe. The arrests occurred about 12:05 a.m. at Fernside Boulevard and Blanding Avenue.

  • VEHICLE THEFT -- A vehicle was reported stolen about 7:30 a.m. in the 300 block of Tideway Drive. Other vehicles were reported stolen Wednesday in the 1500 block of Buena Vista Avenue, the 1700 block of Jay Street and the 1500 block of Pacific Avenue.

  • FRAUD -- A who lives in the 500 block of Grand Street reported shortly after noon that she sent up to $30,000 to India as a result of a phone scam.

  • PETTY THEFT -- Someone stole a security camera from Walgreens at Alameda South Shore Center, police said. The theft was reported 4:10 p.m.

  • DRUNKEN DRIVING -- Police arrested a man, 64, just before 6 p.m. on suspicion of drunken driving following a collision in the 2300 block of Shoreline Drive.

  • GRAND THEFT -- The theft of an outboard motor from a boat was reported about 7:30 p.m. in the 1800 block of Clement Avenue.

  • OUTSTANDING WARRANT -- A 23-year-old woman who officers contacted as a suspicious person about 11:35 p.m. in the 1800 block of Bay Street after a background check revealed that she was wanted on three felony and one misdemeanor warrant for narcotics violations.
