EL CERRITO -- Three Oakland residents were arrested after they attempted to break into a woman's home for the second time in two weeks, police said.
Around 10:38 a.m. Wednesday, in the 6700 block of Schmidt Lane, a woman called El Cerrito police to report that three males were attempting to burglarize her residence.
Those same men, she said, rang her doorbell a week before and when she did not answer, they went to her backyard and tried to get into her home through a rear door. However, they fled before eventually getting inside and being caught.
When officers arrived Wednesday, they found three men still at the home and arrested them for attempted residential burglary.
One of the suspects was wanted on an outstanding warrant for residential burglary after he was identified as a suspect in a 2012 burglary of another home in El Cerrito.
The suspects, identified as Patrick Phanh, 23, Jamy Xaysana, 25, and Kao Saelee, 19, are all Oakland residents.
All three were booked in to the County Jail in Martinez.
