West Coast Soccer

The West Coast Wild U16 girls soccer team secured a spot in the State Cup finals, which will be played on May 10, after defeating San Juan United and Davis Legacy in the quarterfinal and semifinal rounds on April 5-6. In its three years of existence the West Coast Soccer team has racked up 20 championships, including the Mustang Stampede, NCAA Final 4 Showcase, Norcal State Cup, Tracy Orange Bowl, Magic Cup, Placer Prestige Cup, Santa Cruz Pro Am Beach Tournament as well as State and Regional titles. Minor Black Division

ProteinSimple 7, Big Picture Creative 4: For Big Picture Creative, Samantha O'Brien and Emma Chandler set the tone with several catches in the outfield, while Charlotte Whiting was strong in the circle. For ProteinSimple, Rachel Singh, Julia Novi and Meghann Klein led the offense with run-scoring hits. Valeria Torres-Colon and Isabella Restani shared pitching duties and were backed by strong defense from Daylin Williams, Rachel Singh and A.J. Molina.

ProteinSimple 8, Hopyard Alehouse 8: For Hopyard Alehouse, both Aynslee Roberts and Isabela Killian stole home and led the offense with base hits. Pitcher Mia Hildebrand was solid in the circle. For ProteinSimple, Valeria Torres-Colon, Kristen Gonzales, Rachel Singh, Amanda Mero and Isabella Restani contributed run-scoring hits. Alejandra McElroy turned an unassisted double play and catcher A.J. Molina threw out three base runners.

Minor Teal Division

Hyatt House Pleasanton 8, Bentek Solar 4: For Bentek Solar, Corrie Stewart went 2 for 2 with two runs, while catcher Beth Earle and infielder Julia Simmons anchored the defense. For Hyatt House Pleasanton, Victoria Galvan played through an injury and led the offense. Pitcher Meaghan Penrice kept Hyatt House in the lead and also went 2 for 2 at the plate, and Haley Kolon made several double plays at third.

Association Management Solutions 12, Hyatt House Pleasanton 3: For Association Management Solutions, Emily Sanchez and Isabella Damaser turned in strong defense and Eleanor McCarthy led the offense with two RBIs. Julia Thomas was stellar behind the dish for Hyatt House Pleasanton, while Chloe Vilevac and Gabby Lehrman contributed hits and strong defense in the losing effort.

WomanInjuredAtWork.com 9, Trinity Lutheran Church 9: For WomanInjuredAtWork.com, Emilia Withrow, Sophia Ghoddoucy, Olga Merkadeau and Andera Harding contributed key hits. Darina Wolfe pitched a strong inning. Trinity Lutheran Church's Masynne Mendes hit a home run to lead the offense, and Kayla Gonzaga and Hannah Deckinger anchored the defense.

Hyatt House Pleasanton 8, Trinity Lutheran Church 7: Trinity Lutheran Church got on the scoreboard on hits by Macy Mendes and Megan Schuerlein. Pitcher Mia DelaCruz was outstanding on the mound. For Hyatt House Pleasanton, Meaghan Penrice and Hannah Loeffler lead the offense with multiple hits and RBIs. Julia Thomas turned in outstanding defense from behind the dish.

WomanInjuredAtWork.com 3, Association Management Solutions 2: For WomanInjuredAtWork.com, Andrea Harding, Sammie Gray and Megan Rovira played great defense to secure the win. For Association Management Solutions, pitchers Cynthia Arriaga and Emma Seitz kept the game within reach. Adrianna Martinez paced the offense.

Mini Black Diviison

RBP Consulting 7, California Business Technology 4: For RBP Consulting, pitcher Natalie O'Sullivan earned the win and closed out the game with two scoreless innings, including four strikeouts. At the plate, Sofia Blaschka had a key triple and Kim Ebbers added a two-run single. For California Business Technology, Ella Piergrossi hit a two-run double and also ran down a bunt at third and made a strong throw for an out at first. Pitcher Rachel Tanis struck out four and allowed just one run in two innings, and Marissa Macias threw out a runner trying to steal.

Mini Teal Division

SENS Research Foundation 2, Dick's Sporting Goods 2: For SENS Research Foundation, Samaan Beliakoff pitched an excellent game and was backed with strong defense from Ava Choudhry. Natalie Maedler paced the offense with a double. For Dick's Sporting Goods, pitcher's Sydney Costello, Ava Silversmith and Ciara Stapleton held SENS Research to just two runs.

Brandon McGuire State Farm 5, CrossFit Pleasanton 0: Brandon McGuire State Farm put together a solid defensive performance and shutout the visiting CrossFit-Pleasanton squad. Pitcher, Emma Rathjen struck out the side and helped her own cause with a double at the plate. Anya Sengupta and Olivia Marquez turned in great defensive plays. For Crossfit, Maxine Shirakura, Sophi Skinner and Mia Tarricone were top players.

Kids and Teens World 9, B&S Hacienda Auto Body 3: Kids and Teens World was led by pitcher Anika Kapp, who struck out five over two scoreless innings and also went 3 for 3 with a run scored. Shaelyn Buress also contributed a single and scored a run, and Veronica Bedient-Mitchell made several plays at second base. For B&S Hacienda Auto Body, pitcher Advika Deodar struck out three batters in two innings of work and also went a perfect 3 for 3 with a run scored. Both Ashley Hinkle and Natalie Fan contributed base hits and strong defense.

SENS Research Foundation 1, Brandon McGuire State Farm 1: SENS Research Foundation was led by Shayla Valenzuela, who went 2 for 2 with a double. Andrea Anderson and Jordyn Scanlon also contributed doubles. For Brandon McGuire State Farm, pitcher Erin Tsui was strong on the mound. Emma Rathgen went 2 for 2 to pace the offense and Anya Sengupta chipped in with strong defense and offense.
