FRIDAY, APRIL 25

  • ATTEMPTED ROBBERY -- At 10:27 p.m., a man fled after he tried unsuccessfully to grab the purse of a woman in the 1400 block of Shattuck Avenue.

  • STOLEN AUTO -- A vehicle was stolen near Acton and Addison streets.

  • THEFT -- Items worth less than $950 were stolen from locations in the 1800 block of Sixth Street and the 2300 block of Warring Street.

  • THEFT FROM AUTO -- Items were stolen from vehicles in the 2200 block of Rose Street and the 1700 block of Walnut Street.

    SATURDAY, APRIL 26

  • ROBBERY -- At 4:20 p.m., two men simulating having weapons in their possession approached a man who was sitting near Bancroft Way and Shattuck Avenue and demanded that he relinquish his personal belongings. The victim turned over his cell phone and iPod. The suspects fled the scene.

  • ROBBERY -- At 9:45 p.m., two men approached a female pedestrian near Ellis and Prince streets, sprayed a liquid substance at her, struck her with an unknown object, knocking her to the ground, and stealing her purse and cell phone, before fleeing the area. The victim was treated at a hospital for non life-threatening injuries.

  • THEFT FROM RESIDENCE -- A home was burglarized in the 1900 block of California Street.

  • STOLEN AUTO -- Vehicles were stolen at Claremont Avenue and Woolsey Street; at Emerson Street and Shattuck Avenue; at Haste Street and Telegraph Avenue; the 900 block of Heinz Avenue; and the 1100 block of San Pablo Avenue.

  • GRAND THEFT -- Someone stole more than $950 worth of items from a location in the 1700 block of Fourth Street.

  • THEFT FROM AUTO -- Items were stolen from vehicles in the 2700 block of College Avenue; the 2100 block of Fourth Street; the 1900 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Way; the 2500 block of Prince Street; and the 2500 block of San Pablo Avenue.

    SUNDAY, APRIL 27

  • ASSAULT -- Just after 1:25 a.m., police arrested an Oakland man, 23, for attempted homicide, assault with a deadly weapon and a probation violation after he struck two people in the head with a baseball bat, after a physical and verbal confrontation between two groups in a parking lot behind a fraternity house in the 2700 block of Durant Avenue. The suspect had driven off in a waiting vehicle, but police caught up with him near Parker and Warring streets.

  • ROBBERY -- At 11:45 a.m., a man ran up behind a man in the 1000 block of Delaware Street, pointed a gun at him and stole his cell phone and wallet, before fleeing the scene.

  • STOLEN AUTO -- Vehicles were stolen in the 2600 block of Alcatraz Avenue; at Bowditch and Haste streets; the 2600 block of Buena Vista Way; at Channing Way and Prospect Street; the 1700 block of Russell Street; the 1800 block of Sacramento Street; and the 2300 block of Warring Street.

  • GRAND THEFT -- Someone stole more than $950 worth of items from a location in the 600 block of Panoramic Way.

  • THEFT -- Items worth less than $950 were stolen from locations in the 1900 block of Cedar Street, the 2700 block of Channing Way and the 2100 block of Shattuck Avenue.

  • THEFT FROM AUTO -- Items were stolen from vehicles in the 3000 block of Deakin Street, the 2200 block of Hearst Avenue and the 100 block of Mosswood Road.

    MONDAY, APRIL 28

  • THEFT FROM RESIDENCE -- Homes were burglarized in the 1500 block of Alcatraz Avenue, the 2900 block of Derby Street and the 1600 block of Harmon Street.

  • COMMERCIAL CRIME -- Businesses were burglarized in the following locations: the 3000 block of Claremont Avenue; the 3100 block of College Avenue; the 2900 block of Russell Street; and the 3000 block of Telegraph Avenue.

  • STOLEN AUTO -- Vehicle were stolen near Ashby Avenue and Ellis Street and the 1600 block of Kains Avenue.

  • GRAND THEFT -- Someone stole more than $950 worth of items from a location in the 1200 block of University Avenue.

  • THEFT -- Items worth less than $950 were stolen from the 1500 block of Berkeley Way; the 2100 block of Dwight Way; the 900 block of Heinz Avenue; the 2200 of Ninth Street; the 2500 block of Ridge Road; and the 2300 block of Shattuck Avenue.

  • THEFT FROM AUTO -- Someone stole items from vehicles in the 2300 block of Hilgard Avenue; the 3100 block of Telegraph Avenue; the 1900 block of 10th Street; and the 2500 block of Warring Street.

    TUESDAY, APRIL 29

  • ROBBERY -- At 8:44 p.m., a female adolescent approached two women near Bancroft Way and Fulton Street, physically threatened them and demanded they hand over their personal belongings. The women refused and kept on walking. The juvenile joined a group of males and left the area.

  • ROBBERY -- At 10:10 p.m., a man approached a woman sitting at a bus stop in the 2100 block of Shattuck Avenue, grabbed her phone and fled with it following a brief struggle.

  • THEFT FROM RESIDENCE -- Homes were burglarized in the 1200 block of Haskell Street and the 1300 block of Virginia Street.

  • THEFT -- Items worth less than $950 were stolen from locations in the 1900 block of California Street, the 2100 block of Martin Luther King, Jr. Way and the 2000 block of University Avenue.

  • THEFT FROM AUTO -- Items were stolen from vehicles at Addison Street and San Pablo Avenue, near Berkeley Way and California Street, and in the 900 block of Contra Costa Avenue.

    WEDNESDAY, APRIL 30

  • ROBBERY -- At 11:15 p.m., a man held up another man via gunpoint, stole his wallet and watch and fled in a waiting sedan in the 1700 block of Spruce Street.

  • THEFT FROM RESIDENCE -- Someone burglarized a home in the 3200 block of Idaho Street.

  • THEFT -- Items worth less than $950 were stolen from the following locations: the 1400 block of Dwight Way; the 2600 block of Milvia Street; the 2100 block of Oxford Street; the 2000 block of San Pablo Avenue; two in the 2200 block of Shattuck Avenue; and the 1800 block of University Avenue.

  • THEFT FROM AUTO -- Items were stolen from vehicles in the 1800 block of Addison Street, near Cedar Street and Comstock Court and at Euclid and Hearst avenues.

    THURSDAY, MAY 1

  • ROBBERY -- At 4 p.m., several men physically attacked a man in a parking lot in the 1900 block of San Pablo Avenue and stole his cell phone and cash before fleeing the area.

  • ROBBERY -- Just after 4:17 p.m., police arrested an Oakland youth, 16, after he grabbed a cell phone from the pants pocket of a female pedestrian near Durant Avenue and Fulton Street. A brief struggle ensued, but he initially managed to get away from her grasp.

  • THEFT FROM RESIDENCE -- Homes were burglarized in the 2900 block of Derby Street and the 1300 block of Peralta Avenue.

  • STOLEN AUTO -- Someone stole a vehicle in the 2500 block of Le Conte Avenue.

  • GRAND THEFT -- Someone stole more than $950 worth of items from a location near Chestnut and Virginia streets.

  • THEFT FROM AUTO -- Items were stolen from vehicles in the 2600 block of Milvia Street, the 1900 block of Oxford Street and the 800 block of University Avenue.
