A 21-year-old woman was arrested Sunday after officers found marijuana and suspected codeine in her vehicle during a traffic stop, police said.
The woman's passenger, a male juvenile, was also arrested after he was allegedly found in possession of metal knuckles during the stop, which occurred about midnight in the 1800 block of Webster Street.
Another traffic stop about 45 minutes later led to the arrest of a 41-year-old man in the 2300 block of Lincoln Avenue after he was discovered in possession of suspected methamphetamine, police said.
Officers allegedly found the substance in the vehicle's center console after learning the man could be searched as a condition of his probation. He was also arrested on suspicion of driving with a suspended license, police said.
TUESDAY, APRIL 29 MARIJUANA POSSESSION -- A 23-year-old man who was a passenger in a vehicle pulled over during a traffic stop was arrested after he was found in possession of less than one ounce of marijuana, police said. It happened about 1:10 a.m. in the 1200 block of Park Street. ATTEMPTED ROBBERY -- A man told police that three other men punched and kicked him when they attempted to rob him just before 3 a.m. in the 1800 block of Santa Clara Avenue. The suspects, who were unable to get the victim's property, fled on bicycles, police said.
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 30 OUTSTANDING WARRANTS -- A 41-year-old man who was initially detained on suspicion of trespassing on city property was arrested after a background check revealed that he was wanted on three outstanding misdemeanor warrants, police said. The man, who was arrested about 8:15 a.m. at Atlantic Avenue and Constitution Way, was also allegedly in possession of a controlled substance. UNDER THE INFLUENCE -- Officers walking a beat in the 1500 block of Webster Street arrested a woman, 44, on suspicion of being under the influence of a stimulant after spotting her standing on top of a city trash can about 5:20 p.m. The woman was also accused of violating her probation. VEHICLE THEFT -- A vehicle was reported stolen about 5:50 p.m. in the 700 block of Eagle Avenue. DRUNKEN DRIVING -- Police arrested a man, 43, on suspicion of drunken driving after a traffic stop about 11 p.m. in the 2400 block of Lincoln Avenue.
THURSDAY, MAY 1 VEHICLE THEFT -- Vehicles were reported stolen about 7:50 a.m. in the 1000 block of Buena Vista Avenue and just before 8 p.m. in the 1700 block of Ninth Street.
FRIDAY, MAY 2 DRUG POSSESSION -- Police arrested a man, 35, after a traffic stop in the 2300 block of Buena Vista Avenue, where he allegedly showed objective signs of being under the influence of a stimulant and was in possession of prescription pills not prescribed to him. The man, who was on probation and arrested about 1:40 a.m., was also in possession of methamphetamine, police said. VEHICLE THEFT -- A vehicle was reported stolen about 11:30 a.m. in the 500 block of Santa Clara Avenue.
SATURDAY, MAY 3 RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY -- A residential burglary was reported about 2:30 p.m. in the 1100 block of Oak Street, police said. It was unclear how the thief entered the residence. OUTSTANDING WARRANT -- Officers serving felony and misdemeanor arrest warrants for a 55-year-old woman at her home in the 1100 block of Regent Street found her in possession of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia, police said. A man, 53, at the residence was also arrested after a background check revealed he was wanted on a felony warrant for violating his parole. The arrests occurred about 10:50 p.m.
SUNDAY, MAY 4 DRUNKEN DRIVING -- Police arrested a woman, 42, on suspicion of drunken driving after a traffic stop about 12:45 a.m. at Lincoln Avenue and Willow Street. The woman, who allegedly failed field sobriety tests, was booked at Santa Rita Jail. Another woman, 40, was arrested on suspicion of the same offense about 1:50 a.m. after a traffic stop at Park Street and Pacific Avenue, police said. A 19-year-old man involved in a traffic collision about 7:10 p.m. at Eighth Street and Buena Vista Avenue was found under the influence of marijuana and alcohol, police said. Officers also took a woman, 64, into custody on suspicion of drunken driving about 6:10 p.m. in the 1800 block of Lincoln Avenue shortly after she fled an accident scene, police said. VEHICLE THEFT -- Vehicles were reported stolen about 6:55 a.m. in the 400 block of Central Avenue and at about 11:50 a.m. in the 1300 block of Third Street.
