MARTINEZ -- After two years of coming up short in the semifinals, the Alhambra High softball team will play for its first North Coast Section title since 2011 after it dispatched of visiting Livermore 10-0 in five innings on Wednesday in the Division II semifinals.

Top-seeded Alhambra (24-2) scored in every inning to help advance to Friday's final, as it will play No. 2 Carondelet at Saint Mary's College in Moraga at 5 p.m. Carondelet beat No. 6 Arroyo 5-0 in the other semifinal.

The Bulldogs got things going in the bottom of the first when Karlee Sparacino singled off Livermore starting pitcher Sam Whalen, scoring Briana Perez from second base. Perez added a two-run triple in the following inning to make it 3-0.

Shortstop Kylee Perez led off the bottom of the fourth with a laser home run to center field, giving the Bulldogs a 4-0 lead heading into the fourth.

Starting pitcher Erin Enke silenced Livermore's bats, allowing only two hits in five innings. The only trouble she faced was in the top of the fourth. With two outs and runners on first and second, Enke got Mikendra Kramer to ground out to end the inning.

The Bulldogs put the game away in the bottom of the fifth when Sparacino and Nicole Curry led off the inning with back-to-back singles and Courtney Kelly singled in both. A miscue by No. 4 Livermore plated another run, followed by Enke helping her own cause with an RBI single. Hailey Sparacino ended the game with a towering RBI double to center field.
