Canyon Creek Little League

The Canyon Creek Little League 13-under baseball team of San Ramon went undefeated in the District 57 playoffs to win its league's first ever District All-Star Championship. In doing so, Canyon Creek earned a spot in the Intermediate Little League World Series later this month.

In route to the championship, Canyon Creek went 4-0 and outscored its opponents 46-26 with timely hitting coming from all players in the lineup, including a two-run home run in the championship play-in game.

When coach Jason Kicherer was congratulated on the achievement, he quickly deflected credit to the players, noting how hard they've worked throughout the entire season. The team definitely got on a roll late in the season and is playing its best baseball at the right time.

California District 57 includes Little Leagues from Danville, Dublin, San Ramon, Pleasanton and Livermore.

Canyon Creek has the honor of hosting the Intermediate Little League World Series at Max Baer park in Livermore from July 29-August 4. As hosts District 57 is guaranteed a slot for their own championship team, Canyon Creek Little League. The Championship game is scheduled to be televised on ESPN 2.
