Tri-Valley Haven reopens its renamed thrift store

Tri-Valley Haven will celebrate the reopening of its newly refurbished thrift shop Aug. 2 with door prizes, activities for children and refreshments from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Formerly the Buenas Vidas Thrift Store, the shop has been renamed the Tri-Valley Haven Thrift Store and has a remodeled interior. After Buenas Vidas Youth Ranch ceased operations in early 2013, the store was handed over to the Haven but continued under the Buenas Vidas name until last month.

Proceeds will now go to benefit the Tri-Valley Haven, which runs a food pantry, a family violence shelter, homeless family shelter, a rape crisis center, a parenting support program and counseling.

The store is at 116 North L St. For information about becoming a volunteer, call volunteer coordinator Stacey at 925-449-5845 ext. 2711. For more about the store, call Ralph Johnson at 925-449-2510 ext. 405.
