Meet Champ, a mellow and gentle 2-year-old, 13-pound guy who needs a quiet home to call his own. He is a touch on the shy side at first but opens up quickly, and he gains a lot of confidence in the presence of other dogs. He is used to living with lots of doggy friends and would probably love a buddy in his new home.
Sweet Adeline is a charismatic and charming 6-year-old cat. With her slightly crossed eyes and adorable seal point markings, she invites affection. When she's in the right mood, Adeline gives lovely furry hugs. This lovely lady is more playful than snuggly though, and will happily dance with a stuffed mouse for hours. Adeline communicates her likes very subtly; she'll let you know if you miss her cues with a gentle nip, so she'll do best in an adult-only home. She would also prefer to be an only pet in her new home.
Here's what her foster says: "Adeline wants to be around people always but doesn't necessarily want to be touched a ton. A few pets are always welcome, after that gauge how she is feeling. She likes to sit on laps when she feels like it. She also likes to keep tabs on the house and will greet you at the door."
Adeline has a wound on her leg which requires twice-weekly wet bandage changes to heal. Berkeley Humane will perform the bandage changes at no cost to the adopter for the duration of treatment.
