Gangnam, flash mobs and trendy restaurant-hopping? The Dishcrawl event that hit downtown San Jose on Oct. 2 promised something a little out of the ordinary -- a gourmet-gangnam flash mob that mixed K-pop dance moves with noshing.
Unless you've been asleep at the mouse, you know all about Gangnam, the viral sensation known for infectious, ridiculous, jubilant, jockey-style dance maneuvers. The original video by South Korean pop star Psy -- Park Jae-Sang -- has racked up more than 286 million views on YouTube and enough parodies to make it the "Call Me Maybe" of fall.
It also caught the attention of Dishcrawl founder Tracy Lee and her staff. Dishcrawl is the foodie twist on a pub crawl -- a progressive dinner that sends groups of diners off to stroll, sip and sample their way through three restaurants for $25. They gangnamed and noshed their way through San Jose's hip new Myth Taverna, Firehouse Bar and Grill, and Blush raw bar and lounge.
