The Anti-Defamation League honored Tiburon residents Jeffrey and Barbara Farber on Thursday for their long-term service and contributions to leadership, philanthropy, fundraising and improving the lives of others.

Both received the Distinguished Community Leadership Award at the ADL's awards gala in San Francisco.

The husband-and-wife team has made a significant impact on the Jewish community in particular, organizers said.

Jeffrey is the Koret Foundation's chief executive officer and Barbara is an endowment associate for Jewish Family and Children's Services.
