PLEASANT HILL — The Contra Costa County Board of Education is accepting applications through Nov. 9 to fill a vacancy created by the resignation of trustee David Krapf.

Residents of Clyde, Crockett, Hercules, Martinez, Pacheco, Port Costa, Rodeo and parts of Bay Point, Concord, Kensington, Lafayette, Orinda, Pinole, Pittsburg, Pleasant Hill and Richmond are invited to apply for the position, which the board intends to appoint Nov. 18.

Employees of the County Superintendent of Schools or individual school districts are not eligible. The appointment will last until November 2010. Those interested can request an application packet at 925-942-3407.
