San Ramon Valley schools Superintendent Steven Enoch will hold a series of forums this month to seek input on a number of possible changes, including expansion of the world language program, revamping school schedules for seniors, and facility needs.
Officials are discussing ways to improve offerings in the high-performing district, and Enoch has a number of proposals. Topics include technology in the district and expansion of world language, also called foreign language.
Another topic is restructuring senior year schedules to allow students more time off campus so they can have a job, engage in community service or political advocacy, or take college classes. Officials also will discuss how to best meet facility needs to handle growth, modernization of older facilities and energy conservation.
The forums begin at 6:30 p.m. The first is Wednesday at San Ramon Valley High School, 501 Danville Blvd. Others follow Nov. 9 at Dougherty Valley High School, 10550 Albion Road in San Ramon; Nov. 12 at Monte Vista High School, 3131 Stone Valley Road in Danville; and Nov. 16 at California High School, 9870 Broadmoor Drive in San Ramon. There are forums scheduled at each school at 4 p.m.
