RICHMOND — A 38-year-old man was killed and another was seriously wounded Tuesday night in a shooting in the Iron Triangle neighborhood.

The shooting was reported about 6 p.m. by one of the department's gunshot-detecting microphones in the 1000 block of Roosevelt Avenue.

The victims were driving in the area of Harbour Way and Roosevelt Avenue when a suspect shot at their vehicle, Lt. George Garcia said.

The men managed to drive to Kaiser Permanente Medical Center, where Clarence Haynes, 38, died. The second victim, a man in his 40s, suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries.

He was in critical condition Tuesday evening.

No arrests had been made as of 9

p.m.
