Community Action Marin is offering financial assistance of up to $400 for low-income residents struggling to pay Pacific Gas and Electric and propane bills.

The program is part of the Low Income Energy Assistance Program; families with monthly household income of less than $2,483 for a household of one, or $4,010 for a family of three, may qualify.

Applicants are required to attend a 45-minute workshop on energy education, budget counseling and other low-income programs. Assistance is offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
