BAY POINT -- A man was struck by a car along a busy Bay Point intersection Wednesday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Shortly before 9 p.m., patrol officers were called to the intersection of Willow Pass Road and Goble Drive after a man was reported lying in the road, Officer Peter Van Eckhardt said.
At first, witnesses thought he was thrown from a car, but investigators at the scene found he was hit by a car that drove away.
He was transported to John Muir Medical Center. His condition and the extent of his injuries was not immediately known, Van Eckhardt said.
