AC Transit is holding four community meetings this month on redrawing the boundaries of wards, the political districts for electing five board members.

Two redistricting plans have been proposed by the transit district, which offers bus service in 13 cities in western Alameda and Contra Costa counties.

The workshops are:

  • 6:30 p.m. Oct. 17 at Hayward City Hall, 777 B Street, Conference Room 2A,

    Hayward.

  • 6:30 p.m. Oct. 20 at Bayfair Mall Community Room, upper level near escalator, 15555 East 14th St., San Leandro.

  • 7 p.m. Oct. 24 at North Berkeley Senior Center, 1901 Hearst Ave, Berkeley.

  • 6:30 p.m. Oct. 27, AC Transit headquarters, 1600 Franklin St., Oakland.

    AC Transit is overseen by a seven member board, five elected from wards and two elected from at large.
