CONCORD -- A pizza delivery man was robbed of cash and three pizzas after two men set up an order to a fake address Friday night, police said.
An order was made to the Round Table Pizza in the Olivera Crossing Shopping Center to a house in the 2700 block of La Salle Avenue. A pizza delivery man took the order to the address around 6:20 p.m., said Lt. Bill Roche.
The delivery address was determined to be a vacant home, Roche said.
The victim was sitting in the car when he was approached by two men, one of them armed with a semi-automatic handgun. They demanded money and ran off with an undisclosed amount of cash and the pizzas. No one was injured.
Witnesses told police the pair was seen running to a green Ford Escort and driving away.
One man is described as a white or Hispanic in his mid 20s, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a heavyset frame. He was wearing a black jacket and red baseball cap, police said.
The unarmed accomplice is described as a Pacific Islander in his early 20s with a thin, 6-foot 1-inch build with long, bushy hair. He was wearing a black puffy jacket.
