ANTIOCH -- Police are asking the public's help in locating the vehicle that seriously injured a bicyclist in a hit-and-run collision last month.
The 30-year-old Antioch man was struck by a gold Acura sedan while he was riding his bicycle near the intersection of West Ninth and I streets at 2:47 p.m. April 24, according to an Antioch Police news release. The driver of the car fled the scene.
The victim was transported to a local hospital where he is still recovering from his injuries, police said.
Witnesses told police the car was occupied by two young Hispanic males, the driver and a front seat passenger. The Acura had tinted windows and stock rims, and suffered front end damage and a broken windshield as a result of the collision, police said.
Police ask anyone with additional information about the suspect vehicle to call Officer BJ Hewitt at 925-779-6900, ext. 83452.
