A source confirmed that former A's first baseman Scott Hatteberg will sit in for color commentator Ray Fosse on a string of A's telecasts beginning June 15.
Hatteberg played for the A's from 2002-05 but his name has resurfaced to the A's fan base after the release of the "Moneyball" movie last fall. Hatteberg's character, played by actor Chris Pratt, was a central figure in the movie thanks to Hatteberg's game-winning homer that clinched the A's 20th straight victory in 2002.
Fosse is in his 24th season as the A's TV color commentator.
The San Francisco Chronicle first reported that Hatteberg will be replacing Fosse for 20 games during the rest of the season.
