PERALTA CHIEF'S CONTRACT
Jose Ortiz will have a base salary of $260,000 in his first year as chancellor of the Peralta Community College District. His contract, to be approved Tuesday, also includes other pay and benefits.
  • A raise of at least $20,000 in 2013;
  • Twenty-two vacation days a year;
  • Lifetime health benefits if he retires from Peralta after June 30, 2015;
  • $25,000 a year in deferred compensation; and
  • a $20,000 moving stipend.
