Richmond neighbors can trade home produce at weekly event
The first-ever crop swap in Richmond -- a chance to trade that excess produce from your garden -- will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the courtyard at the main branch of the Richmond Public Library 325 Civic Center Plaza.
Bring your beans, tomatoes, lemons, herbs or other items to trade, along with a bag. At the initial swap organizers will be giving away cuttings of purple tree collard, the official green of Richmond, to plant at home.
The swap sessions will continue each Thursday.
