SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY -- Two unidentified individuals drowned early Saturday when a small aluminum fishing boat carrying three people capsized in the Delta five miles west of Stockton.
The three people were from Oakland, according to television station KTVU. San Joaquin County Sheriff's Lt. Michael Alagna would not confirm their identities pending notification of next of kin.
The lone survivor was rescued by a passing boater around 8 a.m. Saturday morning, Alagna said.
One body was recovered from the water by sheriff's personnel Saturday afternoon, and the third person remains unaccounted for.
The three people did not appear to be wearing life preservers, Alagna said.
