FREMONT -- A 29-year-old man accused of beating three people -- including his ex-girlfriend -- was arraigned Thursday on several felony charges, police said.
Qi Li, of Fremont, appeared at the Fremont Hall of Justice where he was charged with assault with a deadly weapon, making terrorist threats, felony domestic violence, aggravated battery causing serious bodily injury and other counts.
He was arrested around 1 a.m. Monday when police said he used a baton to attack his ex-girlfriend, her current boyfriend and a roommate in a home on Rosewood Drive between Ruschin and Dalewood drives in Newark.
Officers responded to a call reporting the incident and took Li into custody at the residence, Newark police Cmdr. Mike Carroll said. Each of the victims suffered minor injuries and one was treated at the scene by Alameda County fire paramedics for bumps and bruises, Carroll said.
Li, who is being held on $325,000 bail at Santa Rita Jail in Dublin, is scheduled to return to court July 6 to enter a plea.
