SAN FRANCISCO -- Foul play is not suspected in the death of a man found slumped on the floor of a BART train at the Embarcadero station on Tuesday.
Paramedics were called about 2 p.m. after a passenger was found on the floor of a westbound train, according to BART spokesman Jim Allison. They determined that the man was dead and called for employees from the San Francisco Medical Examiner's Office, who removed the body.
The cause of death wasn't immediately known, although Allison said authorities don't suspect a crime occurred. The man's name was not released.
BART service was disrupted while medical personnel tended to the scene. BART resumed normal service in both directions about 3:30 p.m., though there will likely be residual delays through about 4:30 p.m., Allison said.
