PINOLE -- The cause of a brush fire that burned about three acres Friday night is under investigation, a Rodeo-Hercules Fire District official said.

Firefighters from several agencies responded to an 8:51 a.m. call reporting grass on fire behind homes in the 1200 block of Lettia Road, said Battalion Chief Bryan Craig.

They used four engines to get the blaze under control in about 90 minutes, preventing the fire from spreading further into Point Pinole Shoreline, Craig said.

No injuries were reported.
