CASTRO VALLEY -- Authorities say a medical condition is to blame for a vehicle crash that took place Tuesday afternoon in a Castro Valley neighborhood.
Jaroslaw Jagoda, 18, of San Leandro, was driving a 2011 white Ford Ranger pickup truck southbound on Terry Way near Dominic Drive when he experienced an "unforeseen medical condition" just after 12:30 p.m., said California Highway Patrol spokesman Daniel Jacowitz.
Jagonda lost control of the vehicle and struck a BMW X5 that was parked in a driveway at 414 Terry Way, Jacowitz said. The truck hit a flower box at the residence, then came to rest against the house, which was not badly damaged.
Jagoda was transported to Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Hayward to be treated for minor injuries. No one else was reportedly injured.
Alcohol and drugs are not suspected to be factors in the wreck, Jacowitz said.
