RICHMOND -- A 22-year-old man is in custody on suspicion of voluntary manslaughter after his father was shot and killed as the two men struggled for a gun Monday night, police said.
James Morris, 42, was pronounced dead about 7 p.m., after police arrived at his home on the 3000 block of Sun Court.
Christopher Morris, 22, is being held at County Jail in Martinez on $100,000 bail.
The case is being handed over to the Contra Costa District Attorney's Office, according to Richmond police Lt. Bisa French.
