HERCULES -- Registration has opened for the Hercules Citywide Fall Garage Sale, which will offer households the opportunity to make some cash and put unwanted items back to use from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 29.

The annual event is co-sponsored by the city and the Hercules Sister City Association to support the Youth Ambassador Program between Hercules and its sister city in Tsushima, Japan.

The registration fee for sellers to be included on the citywide garage sales map is $20.

On the day of the event maps will be available to bargain hunters for 25 cents beginning at 8 a.m. outside the Hercules Public Library, 109 Civic Drive.

The association will advertise the event in print and online.
