Drivers headed through the Delta region to Sacramento should expect traffic delays this Thursday because of inspections on a drawbridge on Highway 160 near Courtland.

One-way traffic controls will be in effect on the Paintersville Bridge from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for mandated inspections, according to a Caltrans news release.

The slowed traffic is to ensure worker safety. River traffic may also be delayed due to inspection vehicles on the bridge.

Traffic is also delayed on Highway 160 for the repainting of the Isleton Bridge. That work is expected to be done by Aug. 24.
