FREMONT -- Fremont Police will host a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Aug. 17.
The event will be held in the Fremont Police Department's overflow parking lot, located between the Fremont Main Library at 2200 Stevenson Boulevard and the police department at 2000 Stevenson Boulevard.
The American Red Cross Blood Bank will be on hand, according to information from police.

Walk-ins will also be accepted, police said.
Anyone with questions regarding their eligibility to donate blood can call 1-866-236-3276.
Identification will be required at the event and anyone under 18 years of age must bring a written consent from a parent or guardian.
