RICHMOND -- Residents of Atchison Village will hold a fundraiser from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday to assist the family of Ulises Grijalva with his final arrangements.
Grijalva, a 16-year-old who was on the football team at Kennedy High School, was shot and killed Sunday on Macdonald Avenue.
The fundraiser will be held at Collins and Curry streets in Atchison Village, off West Macdonald Avenue, and will include a carwash, entertainment with music and a well-known clown, food for sale and more.
A second carwash benefit will be held by Grijalva's teammates and Bay Area Peacekeepers from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Chevron station at 23rd Street and Macdonald Avenue.
