SUNDAY, July 29
CAR STOLEN -- A car was stolen overnight on Talbot Avenue. BURGLARS ARRESTED -- At 5:15 p.m. a caller reporting a burglary at the Albany Hill Minimart on San Pablo Avenue was able to provide a description of the thieves and the getaway vehicle, along with the license plate number. Officers were able to locate and arrest the three Oakland men for suspicion of burglary and conspiracy. One man was also charged with driving without a license and another was charged for a parole violation. MONDAY, July 30
MAN ARRESTED TWICE -- Officers responding to complaints of a loud party in the area of Stannage Avenue at 11:30 p.m. arrested an Albany man for suspicion of disorderly conduct when he was found to be intoxicated and unable to care for himself. He was also charged for a warrant for similar charges and taken to North County Jail. On Aug. 1, this same man was arrested at 12:30 p.m. and charged with petty theft for suspicion of stealing items from a San Pablo Avenue business. TUESDAY, July 31
THEFT -- A caller reported the theft of a rear license plate from a car in the Albany Bowl parking lot between 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. ALTERCATION -- At 11:30 p.m. officers responded to Washington Avenue on reports of a physical altercation between two men who appeared to have been drinking. Officers arrested the Berkeley man and the Richmond man and charged them for disorderly conduct. WEDNESDAY, Aug. 1
DUI -- Officers stopped a vehicle near Marin and Neilson avenues for a vehicle code violation at 2 a.m. and arrested the driver, a Santa Monica man, for suspicion of two counts of DUI. AUTO BREAK-IN -- Items were stolen overnight from a car on Curtis Street. DISTURBANCE -- At 9 p.m. a security officer at Albany Bowl reported a woman in the bar area causing a disturbance and refusing to leave. She was gone when officers arrived.THURSDAY, Aug. 2
VANDALISM -- The custodian at Marin School on Santa Fe Avenue reported that the floodlights and plants in the kindergarten area had been broken during the night. DISPUTE -- At 10 a.m. a woman flagged down officers and reported that her purse had been stolen while she was at Evelyn and Solano avenues. She described the thief and the vehicle. On further investigation, officers learned that this was a civil dispute between people who knew each other. AUTO BREAK-IN -- Items were stolen overnight from a car on Curtis Street. THEFT -- A laptop was stolen from a car on Ventura Avenue that had a rear door possibly left open. VANDALS ARRESTED -- At 10:30 p.m. officers arrested a Vallejo man and a Hercules man on Solano Avenue for suspicion of vandalism. FRIDAY, Aug. 3
ASSISTANCE -- Officers received a report of a man with a bike lying on the sidewalk near the entrance to UC Village at Sixth and Red Oak streets at 6:30 p.m. UCPD and security also responded and he was taken to the hospital.SATURDAY, Aug. 4
DUI -- At 2 a.m. officers stopped a vehicle near Harrison Street and San Pablo Avenue for a vehicle code violation and arrested the driver, a San Pablo woman, for suspicion of DUI, driving without a license and resisting arrest. DRUG POSSESSION -- Officers received a call at 11:30 a.m. from Cerrito Street resident who was concerned about a car with the occupants acting suspiciously parked in front of a neighbor's home. Officers arrested a Vallejo man and a Berkeley man for drug possession. The Berkeley man was also found to have a probation violation. DRUG USE -- At 8:30 p.m. officers arrested a Berkeley man on Eastshore for suspicion of drug use and a probation violation. SUNDAY, Aug. 5
DUI -- Officers stopped a vehicle near San Pablo and Carlson avenues for a vehicle code violation at 1 a.m. and arrested the driver, a Richmond woman, for suspicion of two counts of DUI. DUI -- At 2:30 a.m. officers stopped a vehicle near Buchanan and Taylor streets for a vehicle code violation and arrested the driver, an Oakland man, for suspicion of DUI and driving with a suspended license. He was cited and then taken to a hospital. DISTURBANCE -- An Adams Street resident reported someone was on the front porch and ringing the doorbell. Officers arrested the Albany man for suspicion of disorderly conduct.-- Kristina Osborn
