LAFAYETTE -- A Concord woman on Tuesday became the fourth person since June to be arrested in Lafayette for soliciting sex for money at a massage parlor.
Police took Guilfang Yu, 47, into custody on suspicion of prostitution after police said she solicited an undercover officer for a sex act in exchange for money.
Neighbors living next to the Letouch massage parlor in the 1000 block of Brown Avenue complained several times to police, leading to an investigation of illegal activity at the parlor, police said. An undercover officer went into the parlor Tuesday and was solicited.
The arrest follows a June bust in which police arrested three suspected prostitutes working at Body and Sole at 3381 Mt. Diablo Blvd., and Classical Music Massage at 3385 Mt. Diablo Blvd.
The city of Lafayette passed an ordinance in May requiring all massage therapists and practitioners to be state certified after an outcry from residents concerned about illegal activity in the businesses. Police continue to investigate other complains and have asked anyone with information to call 925-283-3680.
