MARTINEZ -- A Concord police investigation into a narcotics case prompted a SWAT team to descend upon a Martinez residence and arrest a person Tuesday, police said.
The name and gender of the person arrested were not released, because doing so might compromise the investigation, Concord police Lt. Steve Dyer said. The person who was arrested is cooperating with police, he said.
Police arrived with the SWAT team to serve a search warrant at a home in the 1200 block of Henrietta Street, Dyer said. The SWAT team was used because police were informed before serving the warrant that weapons might be inside the home, Dyer said.
Dyer said Concord police used only a partial SWAT team but did not say how many officerse responded.
