MARTINEZ -- A man who died in a fiery car wreck on westbound Highway 4 earlier this week was identified Friday as 44-year-old Ronaldo Bussey of Rodeo.
Bussey died about 7 p.m. Tuesday after a collision sent his two-door Nissan Sentra down an embankment, where it burst into flames. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The California Highway Patrol said Bussey lost control of his car just past the Morello Avenue exit. The Sentra veered into the center divider, then caromed back across the three lanes of highway and into the side guard rail before coming to a stop. An approaching SUV hit the Sentra from behind and pushed it over the embankment. Four people in the SUV were also injured, but the severity of their injuries was unknown.
