CONCORD -- A fire early Monday morning caused damage to a garage, but firefighters were able to keep it from spreading to the attached home.

No one was injured in the blaze, which was reported at 1:23 a.m. in the 1800 block of Florence Lane. The fire was contained about 20 minutes after firefighters arrived.

The fire was ruled accidental. The American Red Cross helped the home's occupants find temporary housing.
