FREMONT -- Looking for that purr-fect friend?
The Tri-City Animal Shelter currently has plenty of cats and kittens, according to police. So in an effort to try and find "forever homes" for some of those animals, the shelter is hosting a free adoption event for all black cats and kittens.
This special, which runs through Sept. 15, includes cats or kittens that are mixed with black coloring, striping or markings.
The shelter is located at 1950 Stevenson Blvd. in Fremont.
Hours of operation are Tuesday through Friday from noon- 5 p.m. and on Saturdays from 11 a.m. -4 p.m.
To check out some of the shelter's cats and kittens online visit www.petharbor.com.
Those who plan to adopt should understand a pet licensing fee will be required for Fremont residents. The fee ranges $10-42.
