RICHMOND -- A multi-vehicle crash on the Richmond-San Rafael bridge has been cleared, but traffic is still backed up in the westbound direction, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatcher.

The extent of injuries is unknown. The crash was reported about 9:40 a.m. Crews from the Richmond Fire Department responded to the scene and helped clear the vehicles to the right-hand side of the road.
