SAN PABLO -- Homicide charges were filed Friday against three Richmond men police said were involved in the gang-related fatal shooting of 24-year-old Rogelio Montelongo in San Pablo on Sunday.
Jorge Anguiano, 22, Edwin Rodriguez, 19, and Jose Hernandez 19, are being held at the Martinez Detention Facility under $2 million bail.
According to San Pablo police, investigators used city and business surveillance video from the area of the shooting at the 2100 block of Emeric Avenue and identified the suspects' vehicle, a gold Chevy Monte Carlo, fleeing the scene.
A detective with San Pablo's gang prevention team saw the car Wednesday and the driver, Rodriguez, was arrested.
The stop led police to the other two suspects. After searching their homes and finding what police said was evidence linking the men to the shooting, Anguiano and Hernandez were arrested Thursday.
Anyone with further information is urged to contact Detective Mark Galios at 510-215-3282.
