FREMONT -- A delivery truck driver was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday while parked outside of a local DMV office, police said.
Officers were called just before 3:30 p.m. to the DMV in the 4200 block of Central Avenue for a report of a strong arm robbery, said police spokeswoman Geneva Bosques.
The 22-year-old victim told police that he was sitting in his work truck counting cash when four male suspects approached him and one of them pointed a silver revolver through the truck's driver-side window and demanded money, Bosques said.
The victim, who is from Hayward and delivers auto parts, complied and handed the suspects cash and his cell phone, Bosques said. He was not injured.
Police said the suspect who pointed the gun was a Hispanic man, 20-25 years old, with an average to heavy build, a beard and bald head, and that he wore a blue shirt and black "Dickies" type pants. The other three suspects are described as being Hispanic males, ages 16-18 years old, who wore white T-shirts and black "Dickies" type pants.
