OAKLAND -- A 42-year-old man was fatally shot Thursday night inside an East Oakland house during a possible robbery, police said Friday.
Two other people inside the house were not hurt, police said.
The name of the man killed has not been released pending notification of family.
The shooting was reported about 11:17 p.m. Thursday at a house in the 1900 block of 105th Avenue. Police were trying to determine if the man lived at the house or was visiting.
Investigators said two suspects entered the house and shot the man during what appeared to be a robbery. The man died at a hospital at 12:59 a.m. Friday, Police were trying to determine what if anything was actually taken.
The suspects fled before police arrived.
The killing was Oakland's 84th homicide of the year. Last year at this time there were 80 homicides in Oakland.
